Children Reading for Life offers inspiring, supportive and informative talks to parents, grandparents and carers. This enables them to give their children the best possible start in life by building the foundations for a life-long love of reading.

Be Seen Reading®

Be Seen Reading® is an exciting initiative launched by Children Reading for Life which asks adults in local communities to come together and become reading role models for children. See how communities, villages and towns can send positive messages to children.

2026 National Year of Reading

Children Reading for Life whole-heartedly supports the Governments’ National Year of Reading 2026 campaign and is working alongside the National Literacy Trust to achieve aims such as encouraging parents to read to their children regularly.

Parents

Sessions are for parents, grandparents and carers. Children Reading for Life can support one-to-one sessions and groups.

Private Tutoring

Children Reading for Life offers one-to-one tuition for children who may need support and help with their reading skills.

Schools

We offer inspiring, informal and highly informative sessions for parents of children in pre-schools, nurseries and primary schools.

Arundel Book Crates

In association with Arundel Festival of the Arts, Children Reading for Life supplies wooden crates of children’s books to have available at various venues around the town. These are left so children may enjoy looking at and reading books while they wait for their tennis lesson, ballet class, game of football etc.

Aldingbourne Country Centre

The Aldingbourne Country Centre supports adults with learning disabilities and autism by providing work training, social enterprises, and opportunities for skill development, independence, and an ability to contribute to the community.

United Kingdom Literacy Association
